Good news for the English-speaking community

Quebec, February 9th, 2023 – The Fédération des Centres d’assistance et d’accompagnement aux plaintes (FCAAP) is happy to announce the official launch of the video clip in English, titled: What the CAAP can do for you? “, created in collaboration with the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN).

“This video clip is addressed to the English speakers of Quebec. Its goal is to better inform them on the support the CAAPs can offer them to help their rights be respected as users in the health and social services network or as residents in certified private seniors’ residences.” clarified Nathalie Dubois, executive director of the FCAAP.

The unveiling of the English version took place as a part of the symposium Building Together 2023, organized by the CHSSN, on January 18th and 19th in Quebec City, which brought together several representatives of English-speaking partnered organizations of the CHSSN.

“It is important that English-speaking people know about the services of the CAAPs. This video should contribute to creating an important awareness on this subject.” said Jennifer Johnson, executive director of the CHSSN.

Inform, assist and support

The advisors of the CAAPs are professionals who offer localized service for users of the health and social services network as well as for residents in PSRs, all over Quebec. They help people better identify the problem encountered, they inform them on their rights, but also their responsibilities, as well as the different recourses available.

The CAAPs can also assist them in any process, help them prepare a meeting with different authorities and even accompany them physically. In every situation, the services of the CAAPs are free and confidential.
